APEL@UMS

APEL is the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning. It is defined as a systematic process that involves the identification, documentation, and assessment of learning acquired through previous work or life experience. APEL provides opportunities for individuals with relevant working experience but who lack formal academic qualifications to pursue higher education at Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL). In general, APEL involves the assessment of knowledge gained through formal education or experiential learning outside the classroom.
